NEXTGEN version 1.8.2



  • The Middle District of Alabama upgraded to NextGen Case Management/Electronic Case Files (CM/ECF) version 1.8.2 on Monday, December 16, 2024
  • The Alabama Middle District now allows registered attorneys to e-file new case filings via CM/ECF Attorney Case Opening or by emailing the new case(s) to the Clerk's Office's New Case Email List. For links and more information click HERE.
  • For information on preparing and uploading PDFs in CM/ECF and why PDFs with certain content might be rejected, click HERE.


     The technical specification for PDF documents allowed in CM/ECF is 100MB for each PDF attachment. Attempts to upload PDF documents exceeding the aforementioned limit will be rejected by CM/ECF.
